Frequently asked questions
Answers to common questions about browsing tenders, registering as a bidder, and how evaluation works.
Do I need an account to browse tenders?
No. The public catalogue is open to everyone. You only need an account to prepare and submit a bid, or to use the pre-bid query window.
Who can register as a bidder?
Any company or individual intending to participate in tenders. You choose your applicant type during enrolment, and the required fields adapt to that choice.
Is registration free?
Yes, creating a bidder account is free. Individual tenders may carry their own tender fee and earnest money deposit (EMD), which are listed on each tender.
How do I find relevant tenders?
Use the search and the filter sidebar on the Browse tenders page to narrow by department, category, procurement method, and tender options such as pre-bid or fee exemption.
How are bids kept confidential?
Bidder isolation is enforced throughout — no bidder can see another bidder's documents, quotes, or evaluation details. Financial bids stay sealed until the authorised opening stage.
How are tenders evaluated?
Evaluation is rule-based and reproducible. Eligibility, compliance, scoring, and L1/QCBS ranking are decided by deterministic rules, with technical and financial stages opened in sequence.
What is a corrigendum?
A corrigendum is an official amendment to a published tender — for example revised dates or pre-bid responses. When a tender is amended, the latest corrigendum is reflected in the downloadable document.
When can I start bidding after registering?
After you submit your enrolment, a procurement officer reviews your account. Once approved, you can apply to any open tender you are eligible for.
